Our Vision, Mission and Values
All PIC services are provided in a way that values family involvement in both evaluation and intervention. PIC considers parents to be their child's first and best teachers.
Vision Improve the quality of life for all infants and toddlers with special needs and their families.
Mission Programs for Infants and Children, Inc. provides evaluation and intervention services for children with special needs, age birth to three, and their families in the Anchorage area from Fort Richardson to Girdwood and Whittier.
PIC's mission is to provide family-centered services for infants and toddlers with special needs to assist them in achieving their highest potential.
Values Family - PIC values all families and strives to support and strengthen families.
Advocacy - PIC believes that all parents are capable of being strong advocates for their children.
Individualization - PIC sees each child as a unique individual, and services are tailored to the child's needs.
Partnership - PIC holds dear the partnership between providers and families, as both are working toward the same goal -- children who learn, grow, and develop.
Education - PIC values education as a powerful tool for children, families, providers, and the community.
